  2. It doesn’t appear to be searchable, like the church documents in the Internet Archive. Is there a way to search the collection, or is it an image collection?

  3. Alan, none of CHL’s document collections accessible through their catalogue are text searchable. It is as though you visited CHL in person and they set in front of you a folder of old paper. Not as convenient perhaps, but it retains the feel of primary research and opens up the possibility of serendipity where you find things turning pages that you would never think to search for.
