Kris W. contributed to our Women’s History at JI series last month, and we liked her post so well we asked her to be a permanent contributor. As stated on the other post, Kris has a M.A. in History from The University of Western Ontario and she has co-authored three articles with Jonathan Stapley on Mormon healing rituals. An emeritus permablogger at BCC, Kris brings much needed expertise in healing rituals, women, gender, and material religion. Please join us in welcoming Kris!
A whole-hearted welcome!

Is this the same Kris that likes to team up with J Stapley on articles for the JMH?

Yes it is, MH, as noted in the post.

Kris, I am glad to finally make your acquaintance! I’ve been blogging about you and J. Stapley a bit recently. I wish you had been able to comment on a couple of my posts about your article in JMH. It’s not your most recent, but see http://www.wheatandtares.org/2011/03/28/women-and-priesthood-the-folly-of-conflating-spiritual-gifts/

I will also add that BiV had a question for you in her review of your most recent article in JMH. See http://www.wheatandtares.org/2011/03/28/stapley-and-wright/

Welcome Kris!
As I’ve recently thought of some (black) Mormon early women healers your work is particularly helpful. Can’t wait to hear more!
