The William A. Wilson Folklore Archive at Brigham Young University’s L. Tom Perry Special Collections is collecting the stories of Latter-day Saint missionaries who have served during the COVID-19 pandemic. If you or someone you know may be interested in sharing their story, please contact the curator, Christine Blythe at Christine_blythe [at] byu [dot] edu. The interviews will become a part of a broader collection of Latter-day Saint experiences with COVID-19. Please help us document this unique era in world and Latter-day Saint history.
Committed to collecting and preserving folklore, the William A. Wilson Digital Folklore Archives focuses on families, religious life of Latter-day Saints and other religious movements, university students, and regional life in the Intermountain West. Home of the largest collection of Mormon folklore, the digital archive also houses significant collections of legends, customs, speech, beliefs, songs, material culture, tales and jokes, games, riddles, and personal narratives.

My name is Andrea Cristancho. My son, Elder Díaz, is in Côte d’Ivoire Abidjan West Mission (Africa). We are from Colombia South America. My son was in MTC Ghana and arrived to Abidjan on 4th February 2020.
He is there right now, because he couldn’t travel for closing borders in Ghana (transit country).
All american missionaries of this mission (aprox 170) return to USA from March 22 until March 29.
He was called zone leader last days but it’s so difficult his job for Covid19.
